Právě tady vysvobodí mladá vodní mágyně Katara a její bratr, bojovník Sokka, podivného chlapce jménem Aang z nitra obrovské ledové kry. Aang je vzdušný mág, tedy člen národa, který nikdo neviděl celé století, a brzy vyjde najevo, že je zároveň dávno ztraceným Avatarem. Teď je na Kataře a Sokkovi, aby se Aang postavil svému osudu a zachránil kmen i sám sebe. Zmínili jsme, že mu je teprve dvanáct?
