Bluegrass Underground je hudební dobrodružný seriál uváděný pobočkou PBS zvanou WCTE, který se vysílá po celých USA na stanicích PBS. Seriál svítí reflektorem na tvůrce ryzí hudební autentičnosti v prostoru, jaký na (ani pod) zemí nemá obdoby. Bluegrass Underground oslavuje rozmanitost amerického hudebního dědictví s umělci z celého spektra žánrů: bluegrass, ano, ale také americana, country, soul, blues, rock'n'roll, gospel, folk a všechno mezi tím. Bluegrass Underground vzniká ve Volcano Room, podzemním amfiteátru 333 stop pod městem McMinnville v Tennessee, v historických Cumberland Caverns. Akustické vlastnosti Volcano Room jsou jedinečné. Zvukoví inženýři žasnou nad její přirozenou akustikou a světově proslulý světelný umělec Allen Branton využívá tento prostor k malbě světlem do pravěké temnoty této jeskyně.
