Nová série Nature Cat od PBS KIDS sleduje Freda, domácího kocoura, který sní o objevování velké přírody. V každém díle se Fred promění v Nature Cata, „nepřekonatelného průzkumníka zahrady“, jakmile rodina odejde z domu. Nature Cat se nemůže dočkat, až vyrazí ven za celodenními přírodními výpravami po zahradě a za hrdinskými činy. Má to ale jeden háček: pořád je to domácí kocour bez jakéhokoli instinktu pro přírodu. Jako spousta dnešních dětí je Nature Cat do venkovních aktivit nadšený a dychtivý, ale občas z nich má i respekt. S pomocí zvířecích kamarádů se Nature Cat pouští do akčních dobrodružství plných pátrání v přírodě, objevitelských „aha“ okamžiků a humoru — a děti to všechno láká, aby vyrazily ven a „hrály si podle seriálu“.
