Bohatý podnikatel Bruce Wayne a jeho svěřenec Dick Grayson vedou dvojí život: ve skutečnosti jsou to Batman a Robin, dvojice bojovníků proti zločinu. Tajná Batmanova tyč ve Wayneově sídle vede do Batcave, kde se často ozve policejní komisař Gordon s nejnovější pohromou, jež ohrožuje Gotham City. Batman a Robin se v Batmobilu řítí na místo činu a s pomocí spolehlivého Bat-opasku musí zmařit plány řady zločineckých es — mezi nimi Catwoman, Eggheada, Jokera, King Tuta, Tučňáka a Riddlera.
