Uvěznění hráči jsou stále naživu, ale musejí dál bojovat s monstry. Nechápou, co se s nimi stalo, a prchají do Akiby, největšího města v Tokiu, kde propukne chaos. Shiroe, kdysi hrdý na svůj samotářský život, zakládá se svým starým přítelem Naotsugem, zabijačkou Akatsuki a dalšími gildu jménem Log Horizon.
